We are delighted to announce that four charities in Wales – Adferiad Recovery, CAIS, Hafal and WCADA – have joined together within Adferiad Recovery, a new organisation which will provide support for vulnerable people in Wales and their families and carers. Read more here.
Adferiad Recovery combines the skills and expertise of its founding charities to provide outstanding services for people in Wales with mental health problems, substance misuse problems, and those with co-occurring and complex needs.
About the founding charities:
CAIS aims to effect positive changes in the lives of people affected by addiction, adverse mental health, unemployment, offending and other life challenges, through a range of services and support delivered by skilled and experienced staff and volunteers.
Hafal (meaning ‘equal’) is the principal organisation in Wales working with individuals recovering from mental health problems – with a special emphasis on those with a serious mental illness – and their carers and families. Hafal also supports others with a range of disabilities and their carers and families.
WCADA aims to reduce, treat and prevent the harm caused by dependency and addiction to individuals, their families and the wider community, including interventions to reduce harm in the criminal justice system. WCADA is one of the leading alcohol and drug treatment agencies in Wales, with designated services for children and young people, adults and older people.
